The Last Ride Reminds Us To Be Thankful

The Last Ride is a wonderful slow, laid back movie to watch on a Sunday afternoon. This movie has been released on Blu-ray and DVD on June 4th. The movie reminds me of our ride to meet our maker, we never know which day would be our last so we should all take the time to enjoy with our family and remember to do good deeds. Lets be thankful for our families, and celebrate our dads today and everyday.

The movie set in 1952 is a fictionalized version of the well-known composer and singer of country music, Hank Williams' journey to his last gig. It is nice how Silas, the 19 year old driver in the movie befriends Hank during the long ride and tries his best to drive the 29 year old Hank, who was suffering from illness.
Despite all the things they go through including bad weather conditions, Hank never makes it to the New Years show. The adults who enjoy country music will like the songs in the movie and the dialogue about music.
